I am Daniël Siegersma born in the Netherlands and recently graduated from the photography department at the royal academy of arts in The Hague. I am a documentary photographer and one of the initiators of a photography platform called Baobab. I often photograph people that I would like to be if I was not a photographer. Pigeon-keepers, Ghost-hunters, Rocket-enthusiasts, farmers, and lately cave builders. I am interested in the idea of “spare time” and how we spend it. When does work something become leisure? Mostly I create photographic narratives surrounding Dutch sub-cultures, the rural and the provincial world.
