Dirk Gebhardt

Born in Cologne, studied graphic design in Amsterdam and photography at the Fachhochschule Dortmund. He works since 1999 as a freelance photographer, ia. for Stern, Spiegel, Time Magazine, El Pais and Unicef. Since 2010 he is a member of the photo agency laif, Cologne. His works have received many awards including. with the Otto Steinert Prize of the DGPh. Since 2011 he has taught as a professor of photojournalism at the Fachhochschule Dortmund.
